RSPCA Cymru believes in a positive, two-way working relationship between the third sector and the Welsh Government is vital.

Given this, a framework which can ensure this relationship is best positioned to deliver benefits to communities across Wales is hugely important.

Since its inception, RSPCA Cymru provided the elected representative for the animal welfare sector, on the Third Sector Partnership Council, which was established by the Welsh Government to ensure the existence of an effective relationship with voluntary bodies.

RSPCA Cymru has proposed the introduction of a ‘programme’ between the Welsh Government and each of the 25 third sector groups represented on the Third Sector Partnership Council; highlighting actions which the Welsh Government intends to take in that specific area within a given time frame and outlining the opportunities which exist for the third sector to be involved in that process in a co-productive working model.
